Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman, an American gymnast was once a part of both the Fierce 5 2012 as well as the Final Five 2016 US Women's Olympic gymnastics teams. In the 2012 Olympics she took gold on both the floor for the team and in individual events. The bronze was won with her balance bar. This meant that she was the very first American to compete at an Olympics with the top medal count. In 2016, the Olympics saw her win the gold medal in the team competition, which earned her and Gabby the honor as the first Americans ever to have consecutive gold medals for a team. She also won silver medals at the individual all-around event as well as for the floor workout. In the three years between the two Olympics the athlete took a break. Also, she has been an athlete on two gold medal winning world championship teams. The gymnastics lessons she began in the age of 2 and her favorite event is floor exercise. Aly is an active member for the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organisation in memory her grandmother, who passed away due to cancer. She would like to become a fashion designer and expand the line of leotards and socks in the very near future. The book she is working on is entitled Fierce that will be released later this year.
